Tada Hengsapkul

Thailand

Tada Hengsapkul (b. 1987, Nakornratchasima, Thailand) primarily works with photography and video. His most often contentious work critically examines Thai politics, histories and taboos, through the use of bluntness and humor. The specters of histories and myths are persistently present in most of Tada’s work.

Tada has exhibited locally and internationally. His latest solo exhibitions include The Shards Would Shatter At Touch (2017), at Cartel Artspace, Bangkok and The Things That Take Us Apart (2017), at Gallery Seescape, Chiang Mai. Latest group exhibitions include Never Never Land (2017), at WTF gallery, Bangkok; Under The Same Sky (2016) at Nova contemporary, Bangkok; and Rates of Exchange, Un-Compared (2015), at SA SA BASSAC, Phnom Penh.

Tada was named one of the 30 most influential professionals under 30 years-old in the art in Asia by Forbes in 2016. He holds a B.A. in Photography from Pohchang Academy of Arts, Bangkok. Tada lives and works in Bangkok. More about Tada Hengsapkul at http://www.novacontemporary.com/artists_biography.php?id=8 and https://hengsapkul.wordpress.com
