The nine participants come from diverse educational backgrounds and professional fields, and they produce new works exploring diverse approaches to photography as a medium. Their works consider a range of topics including self-exploration concerning with people with disability, the behavioural change caused by technology, definition toward individual gratitude, suburban settlement, reestablished railway, memories attached to a notion of home, and Phnom Penh architecture.

In the class, participants discuss different topics of various disciplines such as histories and theories of photography, art, analysis of works by local and international photographers including those working with Magnum Photos and Agence VU, and gallery visits. They also have a chance to have an open studio where they receive critical feedback from local and international photographers based in Phnom Penh. The class is facilitated by Sa Sa Art Projects’ co-founder Lim Sokchanlina with some invited guest lecturers and speakers.
