The Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art (APT) began in 1993 and recently staged its ninth edition in 2018–19. Tarun Nagesh will reflect on the history and development of the APT as it continues to focus on contemporary practices in the region. He will discuss how the exhibition has changed over time as relationships and art centres have emerged and shifted, explore some of the challenges faced when developing meaningful exhibitions drawn from such a diverse region, and discuss his work for recent editions of the exhibition with a particular focus on projects from Cambodia and South-East Asia.
