Anurak Tanyapalit (b.1992 in Phrae Province, Thailand) lives and works in Chiang Mai, Thailand. He graduated from Painting Division at Fine Arts Chiang Mai University, Thailand in 2016. He is working across different media. He investigates different media; painting, installation, site-specific, public art space, photography, and map. Anurak’s interested in expressing his own abstractions. This has lead to the experimenting works that question different tangible objects, resulting in many interesting works some of his recent exhibition.
His work was featured in a solo exhibition, XIANG ER Alternative Space, Asian Culture Station, and Pong Noi Community Art Space. His has undertaken several residencies in Thailand and international, include Làng Art Dorm, Vietnam, and XIANG ER Alternative Space, Taiwan. His group exhibitions include The Plaza, CMU. Art Center, Ne’-Na Contemporary Art Space, XIANG ER Alternative Space, Faculty of Fine Arts Gallery, Gallery Seescape, Rumpai Loft Habitat, NongBua, Doi Saket, Then Café, Huế, Pong Noi Community Art Space, Chiang Mai Woman Correctional Institution, RumPueng Community Art Space, Ban Chun Art & Hostel, Faculty of Fine Arts CMU, Three Kings Monument.
