As part of the conclusion of a three-month English for Artists class, nine young artists are giving oral presentations of their practices.

English for Artists is a program designed to build the capacity of Cambodia’s young artists and cultural practitioners by developing their technical vocabulary, cultural context, and confidence necessary to thrive on the global stage. Participants gained practical, real-world skills through project-based learning, developing their abilities to read, write, and speak in the English language by writing artist statements, reading analytical essays, translating interviews, researching grants, and giving oral presentations.

The participants of English for Artists 2019 are: Bou Puthida, Kong Siden, Kuoch Huy, Mech Choulay, Mech Sereyrath, Pay Bunarath, Prak Dalin, Rith Bonrotanak and Run Sophanith.

English for Artists 2019 is generously supported by Rei Foundation. The project is a collaboration between Sa Sa Art Projects, Prumsodun Ok & NATYARASA, and Kon Len Khnhom.
