With the support of Arts Network Asia (ANA) and the British Embassy, Sa Sa Art Projects collaborates with a UK-based arts organisation Incidental to engage with the residents at The White Building and the public in an experimental, interactive sound installation project entitled ‘The Sounding Room’.

Over a period of two months, from September to October 2011, The Sounding Room will transform Sa Sa Art Projects space into an interactive sound installation. This space is co-designed and co-created with a range of local participants, and will result in a flexible space that will host a variety of events. These will include improvised performances and special events, where audiences will enter the space and be invited to participate in spontaneous, collaborative pieces. These events will be accompanied by a series of open discussions, skill training, workshops and talks on a variety of issues over a period of three weeks. During this time the Sounding Room will operate as an open public space, with local residences and the public encouraged to initiate and host their own events.

The Sounding Room is one part of our ongoing project, New Building, an experimental community art project that explores creativity and self-expression in the complex communities of The White Building.

Please check our public programmes during The Sounding Room and their details on our Events page.
